HOW MUCH TIME IT WILL TAKE YOU:

Around half a day:

  • 45 minutes to get there.
  • 2h30 to visit the museum.
  • 45 minutes to come back.

WHAT IT IS:

Do you already know Lausanne and want to see what is around? This excursion is made for you! Discover a bit more of the Vaud region by visiting the Chaplin’s World museum near Vevey.

Indeed, Charlie Chaplin chose to live in that beautiful city on the shore of Lake Geneva and a museum dedicated to him has been built there.

First, in the Manoir, you’ll discover Charlie Chaplin's furnishings and personal belongings, testimony of an unusual childhood. Then, in the Hollywood-style studio, you’ll immerse yourself in the spectacular world of silent film and rediscover Chaplin's legendary films. Finally, you’ll take a peaceful walk in the gardens and enjoy the superb views of Lake Geneva and the Alps.

Be careful with the opening hours, the museum is open from 10a.m. to 5p.m. Tickets can be bought at the box office until 1 hour before closing.

Do not hesitate to enjoy the city of Vevey and the lake before coming back to Lausanne!
